- I found out about barbershop in 2010 and I have loved singing baritone ever since, even though I had never sung with a group before. I'm recently retired from Washington University, where I was on the staff of the Earth and Planetary Remote Sensing Laboratory. My job was to collect science data from NASA planetary missions to the Moon, Mars, Venus, and Mercury, make it available online to scientists and the public, and store it safely in a permanent archive. I like gardening, cooking, reading, theater, and jazz music. I'm married to David Slavney and we have two grown sons, Adam and Matthew.
